Funding opportunities for post-docs

 

KWF young investigator grants:  "Talented young researchers are offered the opportunity to submit their research proposals, which are reviewed in a separate competition known as the “Young Investigator Grant”.

 

Veni: "is targeted at outstanding researchers who have recently obtained their PhD. They are at the start of their scientific career and display a striking talent for scientific research. Researchers who have completed their PhD within the last three years can apply for a Veni grant"

 

 

Vidi: "is targeted at the excellent researcher who following his/her PhD has carried out several years of research and in doing this has demonstrated the ability to generate and effect innovative ideas independently. Researchers who have obtained their PhD within the last 8 years can apply for a Vidi grant"

 

EMBO fellowships: "EMBO Long-Term Fellowships:;for postdoctoral research to fund and support their internationally mobile careers. EMBO Short-Term Fellowships, returning to their home laboratories with new skills as well as contacts for future collaborations."

 

HFSP: Post-doctoral fellowships. "Long-Term Fellowships (LTF) are reserved for applicants with a Ph.D. in a biological discipline to embark on a new project in a different field of the life sciences."  

 

ERC: Starting grants "ERC Starting Grants aim to support up-and-coming research leaders who are about to establish a proper research team and to start conducting independent research in Europe."

 

Marie Sklodowska Curie Indvidual Fellowships: "Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research in a European context (EU Member States and Associated Countries) or outside Europe"
